forward thinking
I remember when my art teacher told me that I needed to draw something the way it was, not the way I wanted to see it. that was life changing. A little while later I became obsessed with polaroid cameras and I learned to photograph things as they were. So every day some time around dusk in the middle of summer I’d go outside and take pictures of the trees, of the sun setting, of my dog. I burned these images inside my brain saving them for a rainy day. I really appreciate good photography, but I know in my heart, there hasn’t been anything I’ve come across since then that I’ve wanted to remember nearly as much.
